He was convicted on one count charge of impersonation for using the name of one Abdullahi Ibrahim to obtain a N121, 999 loan without the knowledge of the said Abdullahi, and diverting the proceeds to his use.
The money was part of the slush fund allegedly given out by a former Minister of Petroleum Resource, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to influence the outcome of the 2015 general election
The offence is contrary to Section 1 sub-section 1(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1 sub-section 3 of the same Act
