Sifawa who was represented by Chief Magistrate Maryam Haruna, administered the oath on the corps members, comprising 672 males and 254 females, at Wamakko NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Sokoto, the State capital.

Dr Fayemi, who personally presented the cheques to representatives of the communities at the Oshuntokun Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, said the fund would focus on three specific result areas: education, healthcare services, water and sanitation.

The tournament could not be held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but despite the setback, the Foundation was able to sustain its activities during that year. In the process, it touched over 3,000 lives through the various health and education programs executed even during the worst periods of the pandemic.
