He said that the installation of the machines would also end the periodic sending of immigration officials to foreign missions and embassies for data capturing
According to Moro, the Nigeria Immigration Service had taken stringent measures to check the ugly trend, adding that anyone found without relevant documents will be repatriated
Moro said that the ministry would mete out appropriate sanctions against anyone found to have compromised the integrity of the service through the extortion of money from helpless applicants seeking employment into the service
Abba Moro, the Minister of Interior, who made the announcement, said the new immigration boss hails from Plateau State
The minister, who acknowledged that the country’s vast borders were porous, added that the ministry was doing everything possible to address the situation
