Royal Air Maroc, more commonly known as RAM, is the Moroccan national carrier, as well as the country’s largest airline. RAM is wholly owned by the Moroccan Government, and has its headquarters on the grounds of Casablanca-Anfa Airport. It joined the Oneworld alliance in 2020 and chose Nigeria to celebrate the big event.
But because of the advent of COVID-19, pandemic, the celebration was put off until Friday, 25 March, 2022 when the airline rolled out the drum at Lagos Marriot hotel celebrating its alliance with one of the biggest aviation alliances in the world.
Royal Air Maroc is the first African airline to join Oneworld Alliance which has the world’s leading airlines as members such as Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines.
