Embattled former Head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) DCP Abba Kyari, has been arrested.
Recall that Kyari has since been suspended by the Nigeria police Force following his alleged involvement in cyber fraud, involving international cyber suspected fraudster, Ramon Abbas, aka Huspuppi.
He was arrested with four others on Monday over alleged illicit drug links.
Kyari’s Monday arrest came hours after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) declared him wanted over alleged drug links.
Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America indicted him in the case of fraud involving an Instagram celebrity, Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpuppi.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) gave the police two weeks to conclude investigation on the case involving Kyari and drug dealing.
The report was investigated by a special panel set up by the IGP Usman Alkali, who also forwarded it to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, for legal advice.
