No fewer than 53 students and staff have been kidnapped by gunmen from St. Mary’s School in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The abduction comes days after gunmen also stormed Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State.

In the November 18, 2026 attack in Kebbi State, 26 students were abducted, while the Vice Principal of the school, Makuku Hassan, was shot dead.
