According to reports from England, Manchester United have reached a preliminary agreement to appoint Michael Carrick as Interim Head Coach until the end of the season.
The deal, which includes Carrick’s preferred backroom staff, is subject to the finalisation of contractual details.
An official announcement is expected soon.
The process was led by football director Jason Wilcox and CEO Omar Berrada, with the approval of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer family.
Carrick emerged as the top candidate after direct talks with club officials, beating out Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Unless there are any last-minute setbacks, his first match in charge could come as soon as Saturday at Old Trafford against Manchester City.
A former mainstay in the United dressing room, Carrick knows the club environment inside out and already had a brief spell as interim manager in 2021.
His immediate task will be to stabilise a team currently sitting seventh in the Premier League, before Manchester United look ahead to appointing a permanent manager.
