Four policemen have been nabbed for allegedly extorting the son of a Commissioner of Police.
The four policemen, The Eagle Online understood over the weekend, are attached to the Ketu Police Station in Lagos State.
Sources told The Eagle Online that they are already undergoing investigation.
The policemen were said to be on patrol at Ketu when they stopped a young man in his tinted vehicle and demanded for his particulars.
He provided all the particulars except the tinted glass permit.
They threatened to take him to the station if he does not provide the tinted glass permit or “settle” them.
The CP’s son said he did not have any money on him, but they persuaded him to make use of the Automated Teller Machine, which he did, with the policemen following him there.
On learning of the development, the Commissioner of Police father of the young man who was extorted, called the Lagos State CP, Fatai Owoseni, to wade into the matter.
The policemen have since been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Unit at Panti, Yaba, Lagos for further interrogation.
