To ensure a crime-free Yuletide, the Enugu State Police Command has urged residents of the state to promptly report any suspicious person, group or movement in their neighbourhoods.
The police spokesman in the state, Ebere Amaraizu, said in a statement on Friday in Enugu that residents could reach the command’s operational control centre through its distress call numbers and social media address for rapid intervention.
Amaraizu said: “The command to this end reminds members of the public that the command’s distress call numbers are 08032003702, 08075390883, 08086671202and 08098880172.’’
He listed the social media platforms as @PoliceNG_Enugu for twitter handle, nigeriapoliceforceenugustatecommand for Facebook and enugustatepolice@gmail.com for email.
Amaraizu gave an assurance that arrangements have been concluded with other stakeholders for a safe, secured and hitch-free Yuletide in the state.
He, however, advised members of the public to be law abiding, security conscious and to continue partnering with the police to ensure a safe and secured environment.
