The Family Club of Nigeria has called for extraordinary caution and moderation during Christmas and in the New Year.
In a release by the 35-year-old family-centred organisation and signed by its National President, Prof. Oluwole Osonubi, the Club enjoined all families in Nigeria to avoid excesses such as drunk driving, reckless driving and late night travels and in every other thing they do this season.
And as elections are drawing near in the New Year, politicians were admonished not to preach words of war but focus on issues that will move Nigeria forward.
“Nigeria should not be pushed to a situation that may lead to break down of law and order which may engender dire consequences including possible displacement of families and attendant woes,” the statement added.
