In the spirit of EID Mubarak, ex-local government boss and running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party, candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, for the Ekiti State July 14 gubernatorial election, Kazeem Deji-Ogunsakin, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
In a press statement, the 39-year-old admonished Muslims to continue in the lessons of Prophet Mohammed, which they learnt during Ramadan.
Deji-Ogunsakin assured the Muslim faithful that he has agreed to join the gubernatorial race so as to duly represent them and the youths in the incoming administration after July 14.
Deji-Ogunsakin, who is an Alhaji, promised the Muslim community and the good people of Ekiti State that the Eleka/Ogunsakin combination is a very ambitious one.
He said: “I agreed to align with Eleka because I am convinced he has a credible personality and a track record of excellence. Your lives will be better under our administration.
“He is a very creative leader full of brilliant ideas. More importantly, he has the best interest of his people, the Ekiti people at heart.”
Speaking further, Deji-Ogunsakin encouraged everyone that has the interest of the state at heart to join in the crusade, in evangelising the goodness of the Eleka/Ogunsakin mandate.
He said: “I admonish us to eschew violence and conduct ourselves as responsible citizens of the state. Get your PVC’s and cast your votes in our favour, to enable us the opportunity to deliver excellent governance and the dividend of democracy to you. Let one tell the other, ensure you convince at least one person daily about the Eleka/Ogunsakin mandate.”
