Jumai Abdul Azeez Bello, wife of the detained Kogi State Action Congress of Nigeria senatorial aspirant, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Bello, broke the silence a few days back in an exclusive interview with The Eagle Online.
This is coming after her husband’s case of impersonation and attempt to defraud the Abia State First Lady, Mercy Orji, hit town.
Hajia Jumai, who has been so sad since the development, disclosed that her husband could never be jailed because the case is a bailable offence.
She said: “You can imagine my husband was arrested on January 27 by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and made the case known to the public just on Monday.
“At least you can see that there is something fishy.”
She added that if her husband had compromised on the request of the anti graft commission, the case would not have been opened to the public.
She added: “What do you expect me to do again after Punch and few other papers, magazines and even internet have all reported the story?
“The damage is done already.”
However, since the report was released to the public, Hajia Jumai has not stopped receiving people at their Omole Estate, Phase 11, Ikeja layout home.
They were people who came to sympathise with the family.
Jumai is a business woman.
She owns Jumrash Aso Oke Stores on Yaya Abatan Street, Ogba, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.
