Victor Osimhen led Nigeria’s attack while Francis Uzoho replaced Maduka Okoye in goal.
He was provided cover by Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Zaidu Sanusi in the heart of the defensce.
Augustine Eguavoen opted for Innocent Bonke, Moses Simon, Joe Aribo and Samuel Chukwueze for midfield role, while Kelechi Iheanacho paired Osimhen in the attack.
The Ghanians came close scoring with a strike from 20 yards but Uzoho came to the rescue.
The Nigerian side were almost rewarded with a penalty but the call was cancelled by the Video Assistant Referee.
The reverse fixture of the tie is slated for Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja next week.
