The champion of the World Cup in Russia-2018 will win a prize of $38 million, a figure that represents 12 per cent more compared to Brazil 2014, FIFA said.
The second place will win $10 million less than the champion will.
Both amounts are part of the $400 million destined to participating teams and belong to the common fund of monetary funding of the football entity.
However, the agency highlights on its website that the greatest dream of all nations “is to participate in the tournament and win the coveted trophy, the greatest reward that the sport can offer king and, so far, have only managed to raise it eight countries.”
The countdown to the beginning of the expected date of the orb is already in only 37 days.
The contest is programmed from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in 12 stadiums in 11 cities of the Eurasian country: Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
