Premier League legend and Nigerian hero, Jay-Jay Okocha, is rumoured to be signing for Wolverton Town, after the club confirmed he played 90 minutes for their reserve side last week.
Okocha played for 45 minutes against Arlesey Town reserves, but Wolverton have said he has not decided on whether to make a permanent move to the Spartan South Midlands League side.
The 41-year-old former Paris Saint Germain midfield trojan, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga, might complete a shock return to the football pitch if he agrees to any offer from the modest English club side.
Okocha captained the Whites to the 2004 League Cup final for the first time in the club’s history and was listed on FIFA’s top 100 football players ever.
