Bobsled athlete, Akuoma Omeoga, is the bearer of Nigeria’s flag as the country makes its debut at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Brakewoman Omega is part of the trio of Seun Adigun and Ngozi Onwumere, driver and brakewoman respectively who have become West-Africa’s first bobsled team to qualify for the Winter Games.
Another record breaker making the match at the Games alongside the trio is Simidele Adeagbo, Nigeria’s first female skeleton athlete to feature in the Winter Games event.
Gbenga Elegbeleye, former Director-General, National Sports Commission, is captured alongside the ladies moving the flag in a match past during the opening ceremony held at the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium.
The Games which begin today will end on February 25.
