The Senate Committee on Finance on Wednesday said the 2020-2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper will not be submitted on Wednesday as expected by the Senate.
The Senate had last week forwarded the FSP/MTEF to Senate Committee on Finance for proper scrutiny.
The Senate Committee was expected to submit the report to the Senate chamber for consideration on Wednesday.
But the Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Olamilekan Solomon, gave hint that the report will not be ready for presentation on Wednesday as expected.
The Committee is yet to meet with relevant agencies to generate their report in the Senate.
Olamilekan said: “Shortly after the President Muhammadu Buhari broadcast, I headed for office in Senate to continue work on MTEF/FSP 2020-2023 as chairman of Senate Committee on Finance.
“I was joined by Senator Ayo Akinyelure, a member, to prepare for invited FG agencies’ presentation tomorrow.
“All hands/sacrifices on deck.”
