Whitney Houston had cocaine in her system when she died, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.
The LA County Coroner said the cause of death was accidental drowning.
It, however, noted that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to her death.
Officials say Houston also had traces of marijuana in her system as well as Xanax, an anxiety medication; Flexeril, a muscle relaxer; and Benadryl, an allergy medication.
A source connected to the investigation told TMZ magazine that it was “very possible” she had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown.
The heart attack may have been triggered by the hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.
