West Bromwich Albion have agreed to sell Brown Ideye to Qatar for five million euros, taking a five million euro hit in just six months.
Al Gharafa are set to complete the permanent transfer of the 26-year-old who will go down in history as the club’s biggest waste of money.
Ideye netted two goals in 17 appearances after a £8.8 million move from Dynamo Kiev last summer – one was in the Carling Cup when he got injured in the process and the other was whilst he was looking the other way whilst standing on the goal line as the ball hit him on the back of the head.
Albion will have lost around £4 million on their outlay for the striker.
