The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has called the attention of the general public to the possibility of unsuspecting citizens being swindled by unscrupulous elements promising them employment into the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Transportation on Wednesday, many people have been submitting applications and curriculum vitae to the Office of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry.
The statement however said the process of recruitment has not commenced.
It stated further that the Ministry and its sister agencies are an arm of the State Government that uphold the highest ethical standards and observe the ethos of the civil service when it comes to recruitment into any of its Ministry, Department or Agency.
The statement implored all those wishing to join LASTMA to wait for necessary information, which will be conveyed to them through the electronic and print media.
It added that the Ministry is in the process of giving fillip to the directives of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and when it is done, it will be widely circulated in the public domain, stressing that all extant laws and procedures guiding employment into such cadres and Agency in the state will be strictly adhered to.
