Warri Wolves to resume next week

All the 32 players penciled down for the coming season by the management of Warri Wolves have been advised to report back to camp on the January 9, 2013 unfailingly, except those on national assignment, to begin preparation for the league, which is expected to begin on February 16.
This was disclosed by the Media Officer of the Club, Moses Etu, in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri, Delta State, after the New Year celebration.
According to Etu, now that they are almost sure the league will start in February, it becomes imperative that the players report back to camp to continue from where they stopped before the Christmas break.
The image maker further said all the players, except those on national assignment with the Super Eagles, must report on that day, with sanctions awaiting anyone who does not.
Etu said: “All the 32 players whom we have penciled down for the coming season must report by next Wednesday as a matter of fact.
“The Technical Adviser, Coach Solomon Ogbeide, has been warned not to entertain any lateness to camp and anybody who fails to adhere to this instruction will have himself to blame.
“The team cannot afford to let the Governor (Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan) down this time around because he has always fulfilled his side by releasing money on time and it is now left for the players to reciprocate that gesture by winning something for him.
“Gone are the days when Warri Wolves just participate in the league for nothing.
“They should know that the task ahead is big but not beyond them to achieve for our sporting governor.”
Etu also confirmed that Enyimba FC have opened negotiations for one of their players, Michael Okoyo, and commended the officials of the Aba-based club for behaving in a professional way unlike their Enugu counterpart, Rangers International, who are busy luring players away without the intention of doing anything.
He added: “I can tell you that one of our midfielder, Michael Okoyo, is with Enyimba, and their officials have opened negotiations with us.
“We must commend them for behaving in a professional way unlike their Enugu counterparts who are busy high jacking players through the back door and are not willing to do anything.”
