The Delta State Government has fulfilled its promise of paying players of Warri Wolves Football Club of Warri, when it paid the players 25 per cent of their sign on fee for the new season.
According to the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Amaju Pinnick, the payment is in line with the agreement signed by the players and management of the club, which states that they will be paid their sign on fee in four instalments of 25 per cent.
While urging the players and management of the club to go all out and reciprocate the sate government’s effort at making them comfortable, the Delta State Sports Commission boss said the state government has also paid the players and officials all their match bonuses for this season.
Calling on the players to always exhibit the highest level of discipline at all time, Pinnick assured them that the dream of the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan-led administration is to make Warri Wolves the pride not only of Delta State but Nigeria.
He said that Uduaghan’s administration will go all out to get the best legs and welfare for the team.
Pinnick then urged them to go all out and win this year’s edition of the Nigeria Premier League as anything short of that will be regarded as a failure on the part of the players and the technical crew.
It will be recalled that Warri Wolves players and officials have been paid all their entitlements for last season.
