The Management of Warri Wolves Football Club, Warri, Delta State has given officials of Rangers International of Enugu two weeks to finalise discussions on the three players of the club who are at present training with the Enugu-based side.
The three players are Chigozie Agbim, Sunday Mba and Lazarus Chukwu.
The Warri-based side threatened to withdraw the players if Enugu Rangers does not finalize their transfer deals within the period of grace.
This position was contained in a statement by the Media Officer of Wari Wolves, Etu Moses, who further advised the Coal City outfit to ask those who have transacted this type of business before if they do not know how to go about it.
Etu said though Enugu Rangers had written a letter indicating interest in the players, transfer deals go beyond that.
Etu said: “I am really surprised that at the way Management of Enugu Rangers have been going about the transfer of three of our players which should be well condemned by any reasonable human being. These are players we laboured for, paid for, before securing their services and up till the time they abandoned their duty post, we have paid their sign-on fees up to date, salaries and bonuses up to date, only for Rangers officials whom I thought should be well read in this business luring them to their base illegally.
“We have given them two weeks to do the right thing or have the players withdrawn. We are not ready to hold on to them if they do the right thing but they have to act fast. It is unacceptable to us that they are behaving funny and we know what to do at the appropriate time. If they don’t know, they should go and ask those who have done that in the past. They should be able to enlighten them on how to go about it.”
