The last is yet to be heard of the elections of new executives for the Nigeria Labour Congress.
This follows the controversy that has again trailed the emergence of Ayuba Wabba of the Medical and Health Workers Union as the new NLC boss.
Wabba’s only opponent, Joe Ajero of the Nigeria Union of Electricity Employees, has protested his defeat by Wabba in the poll held on Friday.
The poll was shifted to Friday when the initial election in February was tainted by protest over the handling of the ballot boxes.
Ajaero has declared its intention to contest the outcome of Friday’s election.
He described the process that led to Wabba’s emergence as flawed.
Others who are scheduled to run the affairs of the union alongside Wabba include Deputy Presidents Peters Adeyemi, Najeem Yasin and Kiri Mohammed.
There are also Vice Presidents Asugbuni Amaechi, Dusunma Lawal and Oyelekan Lateef.
While Wabba got 1,695 votes, Ajaero polled 1,140 votes.
