A truck dispensing fuel in the early hours of Tuesday went up in flame at the headquarters of Ecobank on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
The fire, from the diesel dispensing truck, broke out at about 9am.
Sources told The Eagle Online that the staff at the headquarters were quickly evacuated from the building.
It, however, took fire fighters over 30 minutes to arrive.
One of the fire fighting trucks was from the National Petroleum Investment Management Services.
