A video showing the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, being serenaded with sweet words in Yoruba dialect by his wife, Olori Moronke Naomi Silekunola, during a surprise birthday party held for him has hit the social media.
The revered monarch turned 47 on October 17, 2021 and his wife couldn’t hold back her loved and admiration for him.
Olori Silekunola said, on her knees and with a huge cake on a table before her: “Our father, my husband, the owner of Silekunola, Ooni, my helper.
“I just said we should repay a little of the favour that baba has done for us
“I want to sing you a song that I always sing to my creator because God used you to make my life better is the one I will sing for you.”
And the Olori went into the song in Yoruba language: “My debt of thanksgiving is much, I can’t pay all.
“However, I will do the one that I can.
“My Father, my helper, thank you Father.”
