Ajibola Famurewa, the All Progressives Congress candidate for Osun East Senatorial District, says the party will ensure victory for President Muhammadu Buhari in Feb. 16 Presidential election.
Famurewa gave the assurance at a news conference in Obokun, Osun, on Tuesday.
He said that the President had performed excellently in office to win the election in the state and other parts of the country.
The senatorial candidate said the President had provided better alternative on a national scale to the maladministration of the previous years by clear-cut vision and mission of “rebuilding the fallen walls” of the country.
Famurewa said the President had also performed well in the area of economic, infrastructure interventions, agriculture and education.
He said: “These veritable developments must not stop. We must take it to the next level by ensuring victory for the President.’’
On his political ambition, Famurewa said he would run an inclusive and transparent representation at the National Assembly, if elected.
He said that he would engage in youth empowerment, provision of basic amenities to communities, financial grant for traders, among others.
Famurewa, who is currently a member of the House of Representatives, said his seven and half years in the National Assembly had been commendable, full of result-oriented initiatives, redistribution of natural resources and wealth at the grassroots.
