Retired Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba, the father of the Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, is dead.
Justice Ndoma-Egba, according to Senator Ndoma-Egba, died on Saturday evening in his home in Ikom, Cross River State.
Justice Ndoma-Egba was appointed a judge of the Cross River State High Court and served in the Calabar, Etinan and Obubra divisions.
He established the Eket and Oron judicial divisions, where he was the pioneer judge.
He was elevated to the Court of Appeal in 1987 and served in Jos, Benin and Port Harcourt, from where he retired in 1992.
After his retirement, he led a quiet life, devoting himself fully to the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria where he was both an Elder and Trustee.
He is survived by Adeline, his wife of several decades; Rowland, a professor of Surgery; Ransome, a community leader; Senator Ndoma-Egba; Knut, a businessman; Eta, a businessman; and Roy, a Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State.
Justice Ndoma-Egba’s daughters are Victoria, a school principal; Glory, a court registrar; and Mbong, a Canada-based lawyer.
