One of Nigeria’s most prolific movie producers, Amaka Igwe, is dead.
Reports monitored on the website of the Best of Nollywoods quoted the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ibinabo Fiberesima, as confirming the death of Igwe.
Fiberesima confirmed the development in a reply to an enquiry by The Eagle Online via Blackberry.
She said: “Nollywoods has truly lost a true soul.”
Igwe was said to have died a few hours ago from complications arising from asthma attack.
She produced award winning movie, Forever, and was the brain behind the soap, Checkmate.
