Moment of panic and anxiety rented the Free State Stadium when Super Eagles’ magical midfielder, Ejike Uzoenyi, became unconscious following a collision with Ghanaian defender, Kwabina Adusei, in the ongoing semifinal tie at the ongoing African Nations Championship in South Africa.
The Enugu Rangers player landed badly on the ground and went unconscious after contesting for an air ball in the 7th minute of the epic battle.
It however took the timely intervention of the Super Eagles’ medics to resuscitate the former Rennes of France player.
Uzoenyi, who has so far won for himself Man of the Match three times consecutively, restored the team’s and Nigerian fans hope when he came back and returned to the pitch to continue with hostilities.
The diminutive star fired home a-25 yard cracker to grabbed the equaliser against Morocco in the quarterfinals of the competition.
The first half of the encounter ended 0-0.
