Super Falcons forward, Cynthia Uwak, has emerged the Most Valuable Player of her club, Aland United, in the First Division of the Naisten Liga.
The 2007 CAF Women Footballer of the Year was the highest goal scorer in the Finnish League and was so awarded by the Finnish Football Association and was instrumental in helping her team win the League trophy in 2013.
“I woke up with a big smile on my face and I can’t thank God enough. Words can’t be put together to express my gratitude,” Uwak stated on her Facebook page.
“There are a few things money can’t buy and one of that is hard working and reward for the hard work. I was again awarded yesterday for a job well done from last season, the Most Valuable Player.”
Uwak believes that the new season will be a better one with her team competing in the 2014/2015 UEFA Women League.
