The Management of the University of Jos has described as malicious the news making the rounds that the institution is billed to commence a strike action from August 29, 2016.
The Management of the institution, through Principal Assistant Registrar of Information and Publications University, Abdullahi Abdullahi, stated that it has not received any notice of an impending strike action to that effect from any union.
According to Abdullahi: “The purported strike action can therefore, best be described as an idea created in the minds of peddlers of this rumour and a figment of their imagination.
“All members of the University community especially Students are strongly advised to disregard this misleading rumour and go about their normal academic activities without hindrance.
“Please, note once again that all lectures and allied activities are to continue as normal.”
