The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association, Ibadan chapter will on August 30 hold its 11th biennial conference, which will usher in the new executives for another two years.
In a statement by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Balogun, in Ibadan stated that the one-day event will hold at Islamic Centre, Bodija Muslim Community, Housing, Old Bodija, Ibadan.
The theme of this year conference is: “Towards Good Governance in Nigeria, Islamic Perspectives.”
Guests expected at the occasion include the guest speaker, Prof. Ishaq Lakin Akintola; Prof. Afis Oladosu; Alhaji Ahmed Tunde Popoola, Chairman of the occasion; while Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, Chairman, Muslim Community of Oyo State, is the Special Guest of Honour.
Other guests include Alhaji Waheed Akin Olajide, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, Hon. Saheed Lanre Agoro, Barrister Abdur-Raheem Bayo Shittu, Justice Ganiyu Sunmonu and Alhaji AbdulRafiu Ebiti.
The statement added that Prof. Abdulwahab Egbewole, the National President of UNIFEMGA, will be the Chief Host, with other members of National Executive Council of UNIFEMGA nationwide in attendance.
Prof. Abubakar Sanusi, the Chief Imam, OAU Muslim Community, is the Spiritual father of the Day.
