Uncertainty has begun to trial the passage of the 2016 Budget by the National Assembly.
This followed the failure of the Joint National Assembly Committee on Appropriation on Thursday to present the budget in both chambers.
The Joint Committee had vowed earlier this month to pass the 2016 budget on March 17, but later decided to submit the budget on March 17 and scheduled the passage for next week.
But at the resumption of plenary on Thursday, the report on the submission of the budget was not scheduled in the Order Paper.
Addressing newsmen on why the lawmakers delayed the submission, the Joint Committee on Media and Publicity of the National Assembly explained that the delay was as a result of errors and reoccurring figures in the budget.
