The Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has congratulated Femi Adesina on his elevation to the position of Managing Director/Editor-In-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of the Sun titles.
Uduaghan, in a statement issued in Asaba, described the appointment as well-deserved and a reward for hard work, diligence, dedication to duty and excellent performance.
“Mr. Femi Adesina’s new appointment did not come to me as a surprise in view of his track record and achievements as Editor of Daily Sun and the quick impact he has made as President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors,” Dr. Uduaghan said.
The governor explained that Adesina brought his vast knowledge of journalism and management to bear while serving as Editor of Daily Sun and helped the tabloid to grow to enviable heights.
He added that the new Managing Director has also within the brief period in the saddle as President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors made tremendous and remarkable impact to the body.
Uduaghan noted that the successful outcome of the NGE’s Conference, with the theme, “Nigeria beyond Oil,” which held in Asaba, this year was another testament of Adesina’s vision, ingenuity and competence.
“I have no doubt in my mind that Adesina will bring his vast managerial skills and experience to bear in the new assignment,” Governor Uduaghan said.
