United Bank for Africa has announced a profit of N189.84 billion for the first quarter of 2025, marking a strong start to the financial year.
The profit in Q1 2025 represents a 33.15 percent increase compared to the N142.58 billion recorded during the same period in 2024.
The bank revealed this in a corporate disclosure filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Wednesday.
Profit before tax also rose significantly by 30.65 percent, from N156.34 billion in 2024 to N204.27 billion in 2025.

Interest income jumped by 36.09 percent year-on-year, reaching N599.83 billion, up from N440.76 billion the previous year.
