Members of the U23 Eagles have expressed their displeasure over the inability of the Nigeria Football Federation to settle their camp and match allowances against Libya.
The Eagle Online gathered that the players left the Asaba, Delta State camp for their bases in anger after the news was broken to them that the football house is still making arrangements for the bonuses.
It was also gathered that Samuel Chukwueze of Villarreal of Spain was the first player to leave for Lagos in anger.
The players were left disappointed when they discovered that their senior counterparts, the Super Eagles, got in full their allowances.
Nigeria’s Under 23 Eagles, otherwise known as the Olympic Eagles, have been drawn against Sudan in the final round of the U23 AFCON 2019 qualifiers.
The Nigerian team will jet out to Khartoum, Sudan on June 5 for the first leg of the series, while they host the Sudanese in the return leg four days later in Nigeria.
The winner will book the ticket to the eight-team tournament in Egypt.
