In a distressing incident, suspected gunmen have reportedly shot two occupants of a Toyota Camry car at Asaba, Delta State capital, carting away an undisclosed sum of money.
It was learnt that the incident which occurred along Old Awai Road in the State capital on Tuesday, left the victims with severe injuries.
The attack caused pandemonium as panic-stricken residents and passersby scampered for safety.
According to sources, the vehicle with a government plate number was driving along the road when it was intercepted by the gunmen who unleashed an attack on two male victims.
A source said the gunmen who drove in a vehicle carted away two Ghana-must-go bags containing an undisclosed sum of money and sped off to an unknown destination.

The source who craved anonymity said the victims were in critical condition and were rushed to an undisclosed hospital by sympathizers.
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Mr Bright Edafe, said no one had reported such an incident.
