But only one of the deaths, at Charity Bus Stop, Oshodi, was directly linked to the protest.

Policemen from Makinde Police Station were alleged to have opened fire on protesters, leading to the death of one of them.

The other person who died, a young man whose name could not be confirmed as at press time, was knocked down by a commercial bus driver at Ile Ile Bus Stop, Ketu, while skating on the road.

Our roving correspondent reports that the driver of the bus, popularly called Faragon, sped off after knocking the young man down.

The dead man, according to some of those at the scene of the accident, works for one Honourable who lives in Ketu.

Two vans of the Lagos State Ambulance Services are still at the scene to pick the dead body as at the time of filing this report.

Residents of the area are, however, preventing the LASAMBUS officials from doing so, pleading that the relative of the victim should be allowed to arrive before his body is taken away.

Ikorodu Road in Lagos remains tensed as protesters blocked most parts of the road.

In Ketu, the police were seen pleading with protesters not to block the road.
