In spite of his side’s win over the visiting side, Niger Tornadoes striker, Sibi Gwar, was full of praise for players of Shooting Stars after their Nigeria Premier League Week Five encounter.
The Benue born striker told The Eagle Online that the visiting side gave a very good account of themselves during the highly entertaining encounter decided inside the Bako Kotangora Stadium, Minna.
Gwar, who previously played for Lobi Stars and Kwara United, scored the lone goal of the encounter in the 17th minute of play.
He said: “I knew it was going to be tough. Shooting Stars played with lots of determination and we were lucky to have won the game because it was not easy at all.
“This is my first game in the season and I scored. I am going to work hard to score more goals as the season progresses.”
Also speaking after the encounter, Shooting Stars handler, Festus Allen, blamed lack of concentration for his side’s loss.
