Victoria Island in Lagos State witnessed tight security on Friday as artists performed at the AFRIMA Music Village in Bar Beach.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that there was heavy deployment of security personnel in and around the music village at Bar Beach.
Security personnel were also deployed in strategic locations to protect lives and property during the show.
The Nigerian Police, Lagos Task force officers, operatives of the Department of State Services, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Neighborhood Watch were stationed around the premises.
The venue of the show, Bar Beach, also witnessed heavy presence of Kick Against Indiscipline operatives and ambulance attendance.
Fun-seekers and visitors who trooped to the event had unhindered access to the performing ground.
While that was going on, security personnel were seen patrolling the surrounding to guard against any eventuality.
Henry Alade, one of the organisers, told NAN that adequate security had been arranged ahead of the event.
Alade said: “It is going to be fun and fun tonight.”
He added that over 40 Artists were expected to perform.
