The newly confirmed Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, on Wednesday disclosed that henceforth, those who are in the habit of commenting on issues before the court in the media would be dealt with decisively.
Kekere- Ekun made this known while appearing before the Senate for screening and confirmation.
While responding to a question asked by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, she assured that the decision of the court will never be influenced by the noise in the social media.

She said, “Social media cannot influence, it will not influence court decisions, it is true that there is a lot going on in social media. “
When asked further by the President of the Senate on attitudes of lawyers commenting on issue before the court, the CJN said, “I want to assure you, we will ensure that those who are in the habit of commenting on issues before the court in media will not have where to hide, they will be dealt with decisively. “
