The National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria has congratulated Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi, over his victory in last month’s governorship election in the state and pledged to work with him in moving the state to a greater height.
The Union in a congratulatory letter signed by its National Secretary, Comrade Issa Aremu, described Dr Fayemi’s victory as a recognition and appreciation of the achievements recorded during his first tenure as governor of the state.
Specifically, the union said it was ready to partner with the in-coming administration in the areas of capacity building, productivity improvement and revival of industries, among others.
“On behalf of the National Executive Council of the union, I convey to Your Excellency the warmest greetings of the generality of our members”, Comrade Aremu stated in the letter.
The letter reads: “Kindly accept our congratulation on your deserved victory at the Ekiti State Governorship election held on Saturday July 14, 2018.
