The Nigeria badminton team comprising seven males and three females have arrived in Tema, Accra, Ghana, with two coaches to participate at the Ghana international.
The competition is highly rated as one of the best because it involves players and international series with a 10,000 Dollars prize money.
The tournament which serves off on July 12 will end on July 15 with no fewer than 104 players from 19 countries around the globe.
The finals and closing ceremony of the tournament holds on July 15.
Like most competitions in the international series, the Ghana international will feature both men’s singles, female singles, men’s double and female’s double as well as mixed double events.
Francis Orbih, the President, Badminton Federation of Nigeria, advised the players shortly before their departure to Ghana to play the game according to the rules.
He urged them to exhibit a high sense of discipline and maturity as representatives of over 180 million Nigerians.
He said the BFN and indeed Nigerians have confidence in them, therefore they should do everything possible to make the country proud.
