Nigeria’s defender, Taye Taiwo, is set join Inter Milan, according to latest reports.
Olympique de Marseille’s Taye Taiwo already has reached a preliminary agreement and is set to join Inter Milan on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to French newspaper, L’Equipe.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international revealed last month that his first-choice destination for next season was the San Siro, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign in France.
Taiwo stated that he had agreed with the team on his future but wouldn’t disclose any details.
Mass rumour late last year had linked Marseille’s Nigerian left-back, Taye Taiwo, to Spain and England, but L’OM Coach, Didier Deschamps, shut up the rumour, re-affirmong that the defender had another year on his contract.
The Milan connection however is said to have tilted the earlier decision as Taiwo is likely to honour the new move.
