The Taraba State Government has been called upon to investigate the activities of the traditional institution in the state as it relates to land matters.
The traditional rulers in the state have been fingered for have commenced seizure of farm lands belonging to indigenes of the state, especially those of Tiv stock.
The are alleged to be selling it to Fulani herdsmen.
In a Save Our Soul message posted on Facebook by Steven Osu, he called on the local government chairman in the area and the state government to act now before other people are slaughtered.
The Eagle Online has gathered that the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, and the traditional rulers in the state had met and directed the displaced people in the state to return to their respective places.
But as they were making moves to return, according to Steve Osu, “the Fulani grazers in Senderdre Ward, Gassol Local Government Area, were told by the Tiv communities of Vaayough Ishom, Saawuan and Kwaza that their farmlands have been sold to them by the traditional ruler of Sendredre.
