Tammy Abraham’s fine performances for Aston Villa have seen the Chelsea striker named in the PFA’s Championship Team of the Season.
The England Under-21 international has been in lethal form for the Villans, leading the way up front as their top scorer with 25 goals to his name this season.
The striker, who has also spent time on loan with Swansea and Bristol City, will be hoping to add promotion from the Championship to his CV, after Dean Smith’s side secured their place in the end-of-season play-offs, aided by a superb run of 10 straight wins.
Abraham is joined in the side by his Aston Villa team-mate Jack Grealish, despite the midfielder missing three months of the season with a shin injury.
The rest of the Team of the Year is dominated by players from promotion-chasing trio Norwich City, Leeds United and Sheffield United.
The Canaries have defenders Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis named, while Leeds defensive pair Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson are also included.
Leeds’ Pablo Hernandez is also selected, as is Norwich striker Teemu Pukki, while Billy Sharp and Oliver Norwood are the Sheffield United representatives.
Middlesbrough goalkeeper, Darren Randolph, is chosen between the sticks and makes up the team.
The PFA Championship Team of the Year 2019 in full is as follows: Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough), Max Aarons (Norwich), Liam Cooper (Leeds), Pontus Jansson (Leeds), Jamal Lewis (Norwich), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Oliver Norwood (Sheffield United), Pablo Hernandez (Leeds), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa), Teemu Pukki (Norwich).
