NAN reports that Abbo, who represents Adamawa North Senatorial District, was arraigned on July 8, 2019 for allegedly assaulting a nursing mother, Warmate Osimibibra.

At the resumed hearing, the police prosecution counsel, James Idachaba, told the court that the defendant was not in court.

The offence that bordered on criminal force and assault which is contrary to section 263 and 264 of penal code.

Senator Abbo who represents Adamawa North senatorial Zone however, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of criminal force and assault leveled against him.
