Yutaka Kikuta, the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, says the Japanese Government has spent $63.3 million in the North-East on humanitarian assistance in the last five years.

The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, signed on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, while the Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nigeria, Yutaka Kikuta, signed on behalf of the Government of Japan.
The Japanese Government had in June 2017 donated 31 Ambulances to Nigeria and promised to deliver 12 more to make it total of 43 ambulances.
