In May, the earlier unveiled Olu of Warri-designate, Prince Tsola Emiko, son of Atuwatse II, the 19th Olu of Warri Kingdom, had proceeded on the 90-day compulsory seclusion ahead of his official coronation, which is now slated for next month.
Emami, armed with a letter addressed to the Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council, His Majesty, Emmanuel Oyinke Efeizomo II, Obi of Owa Kingdom, stormed the state secretariat of the council in Asaba, the state capital.
Chief Emami had approached the court to challenge his alleged suspension by a section of the Ginuwa I Ruling House as well as the process that led to the selection of Prince Tsola Emiko as the Olu-designate.

Chief Emami spoke in reaction to reports credited to Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, entitled: “President Buhari greets Itsekiri Nation on Olu-designate, mourns departed monarch,” on Tuesday.
According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity), Femi Adesina, the president also condoled with the Itsekiris on the passage of the immediate past Olu, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli.
